No. All applications must now be submitted through Workday. Students are required to complete a job application in the Workday system in order to be considered. If campus partners need to collect additional information, they may include links within the job description to supplemental forms or other relevant resources.
Where can the Handshake job posting link be found?

When advertising open positions on a website or through social media, should applicants be directed to Handshake, or is it permitted to share the direct Workday posting link?

Is there a way to duplicate a job posting in Workday?
Yes. When creating a new job requisition, select “Copy Details from Existing Requisition.”
Is there a place to upload additional forms for students to complete and submit with their application?
Additional forms cannot be uploaded directly into the application. To collect extra information, include a link to a OneDrive Word document in the Additional Job Description field.
Do the required components of the job description need to appear in the same order as listed in the training materials?
Not necessarily; however, following the recommended order is strongly encouraged to maintain a consistent look and feel across all job postings. A uniform structure helps students understand expectations and mirrors what they will encounter in professional job descriptions. Are there reasons a student job requisition may be denied?
Yes. A requisition may be denied if it is not created or posted in alignment with the requirements outlined in the Student Job Posting Guide.
How can a job requisition that is already approved and posted be edited?
The Edit Job Requisition task can be initiated by selecting it from the Related Actions menu on the job requisition or by entering “Edit Job Requisition” in the Workday search bar and selecting the desired requisition. After updates are completed and submitted for approval, the requisition will be unposted and then reposted once approved to ensure all edits are fully applied.
Is there a way to download all application materials for review, similar to how information can be exported from Qualtrics?

Is there a way for applications to appear in Handshake so graduation dates can be easily viewed?
Yes. Workday provides a method to download application materials for consolidated review. Please refer to this guide: How to Bulk Download Application Materials in Workday
For a student worker who already holds another student position, will a notification be sent when approval is granted to begin the new job?
No. Notification of approval must be provided by the hiring department.
How can a Job Managed (JM) sup org be requested in Workday?
At this time, a Workday Help Case must be submitted to request a JM sup org.
Is the requisition process required when promoting an existing student employee into a manager role while allowing the student to retain the lower‑wage position?
No. When an enrolled student is already employed and is being moved into a manager role, the Add Job process can be initiated directly from the student’s worker profile. A detailed comment should be included to document the change.
For a student hourly requisition with one slot, and a candidate already in the background check stage, is it acceptable to unpost the job?
Yes. The job can be unposted from the Job Postings tab on the requisition. This action will route to the Career Center for approval and completion of the unposting process.
How can notifications from student requisitions that are not being managed be filtered out?

How can a primary job task be canceled or declined?
Select the gear icon at the top of the task and choose Cancel. If Workday does not allow the task to be canceled due to an effective date, a Workday Help Case should be submitted.
How can Work‑Study eligibility be verified?
In Workday, enter “Student: [student name]” in the search bar. After opening the student profile, Work‑Study eligibility can be viewed on the Overview tab.
Is there a way to delete a Revise Hire action that was initiated by mistake?
Yes. In most cases, a Business Process (BP) Admin must cancel the action. Please submit a Workday Help Case to request this correction.
