HR Partners Added to Request Transfer and Change Job Approval Tasks

We wanted to share an enhancement that has been made to the Request Transfer and Change Job business processes in Workday.
 
Effective immediately, HR Partners have been added to specific managerial approval steps within these processes. This means that approval tasks that previously routed only to managers will now also route to the appropriate HR Partner.
 

What’s Changing?

The following transactions will now include HR Partner approvals:

  • Request Transfer
    • Tasks that previously routed only to the current manager will now route to both the current manager and the current HR Partner.
    • Tasks that previously routed only to the receiving manager will now route to both the receiving manager and the receiving HR Partner.
  • Change Job (when initiated from a requisition for an internal employee whose current supervisory organization is outside the new HR Partner’s supervisory organization)
    • These transactions are processed similarly to a Request Transfer in Workday and will also route approval tasks to the appropriate HR Partner in addition to the manager.

  • Allow HR Partners to provide guidance and support throughout the transaction.
  • Improve the accuracy of submissions.
  • Reduce the need for corrections, rescissions, and cancellations.
  • Create a smoother experience for managers, HR Partners, and employees.
